If you ever wondered what ozone does to non-compatible materials, just take a look at this video. It shows what a high concentration (industrial levels) of ozone can do to thin latex gloves.

Are there any other materials that need to be “protected” if I’m having a company ozone my home and office? They didn’t mention to me that ozone had this effect on latex! Anything else they didn’t tell me? Thanks!

Great question – in general, you shouldn’t have problems with anything in your home or office related to an ozone treatment. The output of ozone used in this test was at industrial levels that residential generators cannot attain. In addition, this was a confined space which allowed for high concentrations.
In a home or office, you have less ozone that is filling a much larger volume. You are left with enough ozone to kill bacteria and remove odors, but not enough to damage your belongings.
