S-300 Buyer's FAQ
Q.What is the sensor life?
A.The sensor has a 6 month warranty. It's average life is 12-24 months assuming it is operated in a clean "office type" environment.
Q.How often does this monitor require calibration?
A.The manufacturer recommends a yearly calibration. The readings of all ozone monitors will start to stray over time and need to be corrected when possible.
Q.What gases when present might produce false readings on the monitor?
A.Aeroqual monitors have been designed to respond selectively to ozone, however other oxidizing gases such as chlorine and nitrogen dioxide can generate false readings if they are at high concentrations. High concentrations of hydrocarbon gases such as vapors of alcohol, oils and solvents can reduce and mask the concentration of ozone.
Q.Will I get a tracking number when my item ships?
A.For customers who chose UPS: a tracking number is automatically sent via e-mail before the order leaves our warehouse.
For customers who chose FedEx: a tracking number is usually available if requested by either e-mail or phone.
For customers who chose USPS: tracking numbers are only created by USPS for select services, such as insured packages. We will be happy to provide available tracking information if requested.Q.Can a user set the sampling frequency of this monitor?
A.The sampling frequency is set by the software in the sensor head. It cannot be changed by software in the handhelds or fixed monitors. However, the data-logging frequency can be user defined in the S500 and in the optional PC networking/data-logging software for S900/S930/S940.
Q.What is the sampling frequency of the S-series sensor heads?
A.Sampling frequency: Ultra-low heads: 70 secs , Low heads: 60 secs , high heads (0-10ppm): 60 secs. The Response Time/T90 in the sensor specs attached is equivalent to the active sampling, measuring & update period.
