Why Ozone Use is Growing in Aquaculture

Ozone Solutions' Experience
Ozone Solutions designed a system to incorporate ozone into at MinAqua talapia fish farm. Ozone was injected into two u-tubes and distributed to eight fingerling tanks to improve water quality.

Shed Enclosure

Generator
The generator is housed inside the shed with an ozone sensor and an exhaust fan. This particular generator produces 24 pounds of ozone per day. Exhaust fan starts upon detection of an ozone leak. |
Fingerling Tank
Eight 3,500 gallon fingerling tanks are supplied with ozone. Each tank can hold up to 90,000 fingerlings. |
Ozone Sensor
Ozone alarms are installed for the safety of personnel. In this case there are two set-points. The first is an intermittent alarm, which is triggered at 0.25 ppm. The second alarm activates a ventilation fan at 0.5 ppm. Ozone levels are displayed on the sensor readout. |
