Q.How do I return the unit once I am finished with it?
A.Just send the unit to our address: 451 Black Forest Rd, Hull, IA 51239. Feel free to use the Postal Service, UPS, or FedEx. For your convenience, we offer a pre-paid UPS return label (included in combo-packs). With a return label, all you have to do is stick the label over the original one on the box and drop the package off at a UPS store or drop-box, or schedule a pickup.
Q.Do you rent to my location?
A.Ozone Solutions rents to anyone in the United States. If you are outside of the United States, please call us and we may be willing to set up special terms. Expedited shipping options (such as overnight delivery) are available.
Q.Can we be in the area that is being treated?
A.No, there should be no People, Pets, or Plants in the area that is being treated.
Q.If I order a rental online, when will my credit card be charged?
A.We charge your credit card on the same day that the rental unit ships out to you.
Q.Will I get a tracking number when my item ships?
A.For customers who chose UPS: a tracking number is automatically sent via e-mail before the order leaves our warehouse.
For customers who chose FedEx: a tracking number is usually available if requested by either e-mail or phone.
For customers who chose USPS: tracking numbers are only created by USPS for select services, such as insured packages. We will be happy to provide available tracking information if requested.Q.Will an ozone generator remove dust?
A.No, ozone generators produce ozone gas which reacts with and destroys mold spores, bacteria, viruses, and odor molecules, but they do not remove dust.
Q.Do I need to clean before I do the ozone treatment?
A.Yes, we recommend that you clean all surfaces as best you can to remove the odor residue.
Q.Should I open the windows after the treatment?
A.It is not necessary, but to speed up the process it can help.
Q.Can I run it in (for example) in my bedroom and still be in the house.
A.You can, as long as the room is sealed off completely. Please make sure that the air vents are also covered so not to allow the ozone to creep through the ventilation system and into the rest of the house.
Q.What do I do if the odor is still present after the treatment?
A.Depending on the strength of the odor, sometimes it takes a little longer to fully remove the odor. DO NOT SEND THE UNIT BACK! Call us and we'll make arrangements for you to keep it longer.
Q.How long do I get the unit?
A.We have 2-day and 7-day rentals. You get to use the unit either the full 2 or 7 days. Your rental period does not include shipping time. Also, you can rent the unit for longer periods if needed.
Q.What is the best location?
A.The best location is to put the ozone generator in the room where the odors are the strongest. If the odor is present throughout the entire house, or apartment, place the unit near the central air intake to facilitate mixing of the ozone throughout the area.
Q.Will ozone ruin my leather furniture or electronic equipment?
A.Ozone is a powerful oxidizer but the concentrations generated from our rental units will not harm any materials or equipment inside your house. We guarantee it! Concentrations required to oxidize materials are on the order of 1,000s of parts per million. The highest concentration coming out of one of our larger rental units (OMZ-5000-HFT) is only 10 PPM.
Q.Will the odor removal be permanent?
A.Yes. Using our rental units will be permanent as long as the source of the odor is gone. We have rented out units hundreds of times and it works best on smoke, urine and stale odors. Musty odors can also be oxidized, but may take a few days longer. Fecal matter odors can removed as long as the source of the fecal matter is gone.
Q.How do I determine which unit is best for me?
A.There is a chart to help you identify which unit will work best for your odor problem on the Rental page of our website (Choose the Right Unit). Remember this chart is only a guideline & larger units will remove the odor more quickly.
