ODS-3 Rental Buyer's FAQ
Q.What gases can poison the catalyst?
A.Sulfur Compounds, Halogenated Compounds, Hydrocarbons, Heavy Metals, NOx, and Silica. Once the catalyst is poisoned, it must be replaced - it cannot be recharged.
Q.What is the maximum inlet ozone concentration that will result in an outlet concentration of 0.10 PPM or less.
A.10% ozone concentration by wt. is the maximum inlet O3 level of the ozone destruct unit to maintain 0.10 PPM or less on the output. Higher ozone concentrations result in a specially designed unit.
Q.Can the unit be recharged if water condenses on the catalyst?
A.Yes. Recharging is possible. The media must be removed and baked at 200-deg for 1 hour. The media will not be back to manufactured performance. Expect a performance reduction of 25%.
Q.How does humidity affect the output?
A.No. Humidity has no effect on the performance of the ozone destruct unit as long as water does not condense on the catalyst.
Q.What are the by-products of the ozone destruct unit?
A.Oxygen and a minimal amount of heat are the only by-products. The catalyst does not give off any residue during ozone destruction.
Q.Can air move both directions in the ozone destruct unit?
A.Yes. Air can move in either direction on the ozone destruct unit.
Q.Will I get a tracking number when my item ships?
A.For customers who chose UPS: a tracking number is automatically sent via e-mail before the order leaves our warehouse. For customers who chose FedEx: a tracking number is usually available if requested by either e-mail or phone. For customers who chose USPS: tracking numbers are only created by USPS for select services, such as insured packages. We will be happy to available tracking information if requested.
