Support Related Frequently Asked Questions
Q.Is there a bottled calibration solution available for this monitor? A.Due to the nature of ozone, there is currently no bottled calibration solution available to calibrate dissolved ozone monitors. Instead, calibration is possible by comparison to a chemical ozone test kit such as the K-7402. The ozone level indicated by the monitor needs to be adjusted to the level indicated by the test kit. A standalone test environment may be necessary to ensure accurate results. For procedural details, contact our Support Staff. Q.My dissolved ozone sensor will not respond to ozone. What can I do to resolve this issue? A.Assuming ozone in water is confirmed with another method (eg K-7402), and that the unit is properly installed & in the process & ON for 12 hours.
Assuming that there is not any kind of error message on the monitor, and that the reading never changes or is stuck on 0 PPM.
1) Test wiring
a) Connect test leads to "Ground" (black) and "Sense" (red) wires from the sensor. Not just the screw terminals, but touching the actual wires.
b) Observe DC millivolt reading with NO ozone in the water.
c) Raise the level of dissolved ozone in the water.
d) Observe DC millivolt reading.
-mV should change with a change in ozone level, if not the problem is with the sensor electrolyte/membrane or electronics.
-Exact reading is dependent on the sensor (each sensor could be
different) that is why we're only looking for a CHANGE in voltage.
2) Renew sensor
a) Replace electrolyte as described in manual.
b) Replace membrane if it's condition is at all questionable, or if the electrolyte doesn't fix it.
If the problem cannot be found Ozone Solutions recommends contacting the company for an RMA form to return the sensor.
